Welcome to Dreamy 280 Cattle Company!
Two decades ago our dreams became reality on 280 acres outside of Blue Mounds, WI. It was here, that Dreamy 280 would be our home and the start of our cattle operation. Time and hard work have served us well as our original five head of Hereford cows are gone. However, we have grown to a progressive herd of nearly 75 Angus and Shorthorn cows. Our genetic base has changed over time, but our focus and mission have not. Our mission is to produce progressive genetics that perform for our customers in both the show ring and pastures. We also take great pride in being stewards of the land that support our program through hay production, rotational grazing and crop production.
As our program progresses we have remained committed to focusing on elite Angus and Shorthorn cow families in order to maintain a genetic consistency in our herd. Our Angus cow families include Primrose Ladies, Rita’s, Forever Ladies, Barbara’s and Beebe Queens. Multiple donors from these cow families have entered our embryo transplant program. Their influence will be pronounced through ET calf production along with use of our featured Angus herd sire Dreamy 280 Rito 1I2 704 from the Primrose Lady family.
Our commitment to the show ring has become very rewarding. Our goal is to breed and raise our own quality Angus and Shorthorn prospects. We take great pride in the efforts of our kids, Julie, Patrick and Hope. Their focus on function and kind has helped establish our program direction. Our goal will be to continue to produce calves that have winning potential for our customers. We look forward to helping the next generation of juniors show winning Dreamy 280 genetics.
We would like to extend an offer for you to stop and visit anytime. We offer proven progressive seed stock from multiple breeds. Those genetics are available in Angus bulls, Angus and Shorthorn females, frozen embryos, show steers and freezer beef sold on quarters, halves and whole carcasses.
